My name is Ben. Thanks for dropping by! I work for a great website, study international affairs, write fiction and act in a theatre group. I think we can make the world a better place. I hope you think so, too!
What is a Threeve to Eleventy?
A threeve-to-eleventy is a short digest of anywhere between three to eleven interesting things. The name comes from Steven F. in PA, an old friend of mine.
Do you credit sources?
In most cases, the links posted lead directly to the original source, or as close as I can get. Photos representing a source are also from that website. I believe people should get credit for their actions, and taking you directly to their site is the best way to make sure they get the attention — and clicks — they deserve. As a result, I don’t usually list sources in the Threeves. Just click on the link if you’re curious!
What are Country Overviews?
In my free time I like to post 3-5 part series on countries around the world. So far, I’ve got the DPRK. Nauru and Belarus are on the way. These are pretty much chosen in order of reader suggestions. They’ve been coming along slowly, but it will be so worth it when I’m done!
What are Closer Looks?
Some topics, such as climate change, deserve a more in-depth examination. These topics are usually up for debate, and my goal is only to present the cases made by both sides of the debate. I may have my own opinion, but if I speak up I’ll be sure to indicate where it becomes my opinion — no sneaky wikipedia soapboxing here!
