We’ll spruce this up in a bit, but before all the bells and whistles, let’s get some things clear:
1. This site is for the irrepressibly curious and the easily amused. Occasionally, viewers may stumble onto something that, while fascinating, is in one sense or another a bad idea. Bad ideas make for great entertainment, and that’s the spirit in which they’re presented here. So thanks for reading, and please, puh-leeze, don’t think something’s a good idea just because you saw it on a Threeve! If you want that facial tattoo, or you decide to call the CIA and ask about the Loch Ness monster, don’t tell your tat artist or the spies that I told you to do it.
2. I have a great job, and it has nothing to do with this site. The people I work with are swell; so swell, in fact, that I consider many of them close friends. The company employing me is super-cool, awesome, stupendous, and a thousand other adjectives. One thing I take pains to point out is that these kind, brilliant people and our neato employer are not affiliated with this site, and my fun time here in no way reflects the company’s view or opinions.
3. If there’s something on here that you own, and you want it gone, let me know. I will take it off immediately, just as soon as I know you own it. This site, again, is strictly FNBN (For Nerds By Nerds) and I’ve only posted things that I hoped people would enjoy. If you don’t want it up here, your wish is my command.
4. This is not an objective site. Like any other person, I spend a considerable amount of time trying to figure out what I think about any given thing from pistachio ice cream to the death penalty, the monetary system to communicating with bears. The conclusions I reach are based on a few basic, well-intentioned premises/biases that may mean you and I disagree. If this is the case, I still think you’re a stand-up, Grade-A person and I hope you are big enough to reciprocate. Name calling and emotionally-charged grandstanding, while hilarious, are tools used by bullies to beguile the stupid and frighten the cowardly. I am neither. Should you feel the need to ‘take me to task’ about something you consider important, I reserve the right to treat you according to your logic.
